Washington D.C. (April 1987)

This is Arlington Cemetery, in Arlington, Virginia. The picture looks back across the Potomac River; the bridge over it leads to the Lincoln Memorial. In the background is Washington D.C. In particular you can see the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building to the right.

This is the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial. The names of all the soldiers who died in the war are inscribed here. The Lincoln Memorial is in the background.
