Sea of Blue

Guitar intro to band intro (slow grunge)

v1      Friendly skies, above my head,
circled me and held me tight.
         Your heaven above,
         was my only comforter.
I stood before the eye of god,
         and marveled at her beauty.
Storm winds brewed then and now,
         trapping me in troubled waters.

ch1    Sea of blue, eye of the storm,
         winds of change, enrapture me.
         Sea of blue, swallows me,
         and I drown, drown again.
         Pulled apart, at the seams,
         by unmerciful fate.
I'm drowning in a sea of blue,
and there's nothing I can do.

v2      I thought I saw my own reflection
         deep within your waters.
         How was I to know,
         how wrong I was?
         Nevertheless, I feel the same,
         and that'll never change.
I stare into those pools of beauty,
         and drown once again.

br1    Sparkling intensity, glint of red sun.
Laughter of the winds, ring in my head.
Storm catches me and brings me down,
It's the eye of the storm that takes my breath away.
Nature's perfection, and only I see it,
nobody is the storm besides you and me.
So willingly I jump into the sea,
and drown myself in your eyes.

Guitar solo

ch2    Sea of blue, eye of the storm,
         winds of change, enrapture me.
         Sea of blue, swallows me,
         and I drown, drown again.
         Pulled apart, at the seams,
         by unmerciful fate.
I'm drowning in a sea of blue,
and there's nothing I can do.
