Cabal of the Phoenix (4 of 8)

Lee

Lee laughed, and so did Harvey.

"Go on," she said. "You don't really work for the government do you?"

"Yes," he persisted, waving his beer glass at her. "I have security locks on the doors and everything."

Lee tossed him a smile that showed more alcohol than she felt; it was one intentionally designed to flatter him. She leaned a little closer to him on her barstool and laughed. "What kind of locks?" she asked.

"Well, the doorman won't let us into the building if he doesn't know us. That's for starters," he added, pointing directly into her eyes. She smiled. "Second, there's a foyer of sorts, where several offices are linked; to get into that foyer we have to have the right key, pass a retinal scan, and then enter a six-digit code."

"Wow, you realy do work for the government."

Harvey laughed at the wide-eyed beauty before him. "Wait, that's not all." Women were so easy to seduce, he thought. Just throw them some information they shouldn't know and they were all over you; those kind of secrets implied power, and power was the ultimate aphrodesiac. "You still have to match a palmprint at the door and use another key.

Lee patted a bulge on the side of his pants, letting her touch linger. "Are these the keys?"

Harvey raised his eyebrows and nodded slowly. "You bet."

"Mmm." Biting her lower lip, Lee looked up at him. She turned away suddenly, as if embarrassed, and finished the rest of her beer. She froze for a moment, then shook her head. "Whoa," she muttered.

"You okay there?" he said, laying his hand on her shoulder.

"Yeah," she said, resting her hand on his. "I'm fine. You wanna get some fresh air?"

"Sure. We'll take a walk."

The two got up slowly; Harvey retrieved their jackets off of the coat tree, placing hers over her shoulders.

"Thanks," she muttered.

"No problem," he said, smiling

As he put his own coat on, he took her by the hand and led her out through the crowd, and onto the street. They were on a crowded uptown street, but fortunately, there was more free air out there than in the packed, smoky tavern.

"Feel better?" he asked.

"Yeah," she laughed, stumbling a little.

"Careful."

"Okay."

"Hey, my apartment's near here, would you like to stop in for a while, get your feet under you?"

Lee looked at Harvey with a sloppy smile. "Sure."

The short distance passed in silence. Both of them had an unsure step, although apparently more so with Lee. Harvey was quite content with himself: another night at the tavern, another conquest. He did not really work for the government, but the line usually worked, and he used it so much, he had it down; he never messed up and there were never any inconsistencies in his stories. This one, though, was something to be proud of; this was not just another score. This woman, was more beautiful than anyone he had ever seen in person, let alone had taken home. Laughing to himself, he knew no one he knew would believe him when he tried to describe her. Then again, he figured something were done just for the gratification of doing them, not for any amount of credit. Harvey was middle-aged and plain looking, but he knew what to say and when. And despite what people thought, age did not always make one less of a lover, especially when one kept up the hobby.

"Here we are," he said.

"Oh," she said, stumbling into him, and catching herself by leaning on him and putting her hands on his shoulders. "It's so big."

"What?"

"Your building," Lee said.

“Oh. Right. Come on in," Harvey said.

The walk in, the elevator ride up, and the walk to his door were all one blur, because all he wanted to do was get her inside and take her—he wanted her so bad. The alcohol had an impact on how he felt, the woman could give a man a quicker heartbeat with a look, and a hard-on with the slightest brush. He had been erect since long before they had left the tavern.

The minute they were in the door he took her arms roughly and kissed her. She returned the kiss. Harvey was impressed; drunk or not, she wanted it too. Patience and diligence, so integral to his everyday work, scientific method and slow prodding bookwork, were all out the window now as he tore her shirt over her head and desperately worked to release the clasp on her bra. At the same time, they continued to furiously kiss, each one's tongue darting in and out of the others' mouth. She too was stripping off Harvey's jacket and shirt before he knew what she was doing. It was all he could do to keep from losing it right there. As he ran his hands over her body, he marveled at how soft her skin was. Her hands, running all over his torso drove him mad, sending tingles running throughout his entire body. She tore off his pants and dropped her own skirt while he was still fixated on her round, perfect breasts. He gasped loudly as she did so, even as Lee was gasping for breath herself. He picked her up to carry her to the bed; she clamped her legs around his waist and threw her arms over his shoulders. He continued to kiss her as she clawed his back. As he set her down and landed on top of her, she slipped her lips off of his and began to kiss his neck aggressively: his head bucked upward, pleasured immensely.

Lee rolled on top of Harvey, ripping his boxers off and pulling his socks off as well. As she was doing so, he kissed her breasts as long as he could, and then up her neck and cheek, finally kissing only her arms as she moved down his body. As she crawled back up his naked body, his hands moved around to her back and massaged her ass. God, he thought, it was so firm, so tight, and it felt so good. His hands already under her panties, he yanked them off. Lee again took control and sat on top of him; he was seated now with his legs tucked underneath him, bent at the knee. She eased onto him and began to move rhythmically, guided by their hard breathing.

"Shit," he panted, as she clawed his back, riding him faster and harder. Trying to control himself and make it last, he switched his focus from himself to her, kissing and sucking her breasts, focusing on her nipples; he did not want it to end—he usually did not care how long it lasted—but he never wanted this to end. She continued to move on him, up and down, up and down, sliding over him in a forceful crescendo. "God," he grunted, louder, louder than any breath taken before. "Shit."

Breathing heavily, Lee whispered, "The code."

"What?" he asked, barely able to speak.

"The code. Tell me the code to your office. That'd make me come so hard."

Harvey didn't have much time to think or to ask himself if that was really why she wanted to know. All he had time for was the now: what would make him happy and what would make her happy, and it always made a man feel good to know he had made his woman feel good, especially a woman like this. Besides, he could always change the code the next day.

"Six-zero-six-five-zero-eight," he panted. No sooner than had he said that, Lee bucked like wild, nearly screaming with what appeared to be ecstasy; he himself could hold back no longer, especially after hearing that. They both grunted and gasped, breathing louder and harder than they thought they could and still remain conscious, finally culminating in even louder responses as they climaxed, finally ending what had been so intense. Lee began to slow.

"Christ," he muttered. Slower, and slower, she moved, gently massaging the end and then and only then reached to her ear and pulled out one of her earrings, unseen by Harvey, and drove it into his back. Even as he wrapped his arms around her, a smile on his face, he stiffened, crying out in pain. She held him tight, her arms around him also, embracing him with more strength then he would have thought she had. He convulsed tersely, and then slumped, letting his head fall into her chest.

Lee softly stroked the man's short hair. Then, exhausted, Lee too slumped, falling back into the pillows with a smile. Lying there naked, she sent a quick mindcall to her teammates, letting them know she had gotten what they needed. She rested her head on his shoulder and patted his chest. “Thanks,” she said softly, with a smile.
