Great. Thanks a lot
for hooking us up with this software. I need you to give the same software
to the other Pendragons. I've sent a separate attachment with all of their
addresses. You've met Fernando, and the Harbingers before. Dylan and Rayne
I don't recall if you met. I need you to get them the encryption software,
though.
I also need another
favor. I guess maybe you could call it a duty of sorts. I sent another attachment.
If you have Adobe Acrobat you should be able to print it out. It's the new
manifesto of the Pendragons. I want you to gather a new branch of our team
in L.A. I'm not asking you to leave the A-Team. You guys are a great team.
However, I do want you to help me mobilize the forces we've yet to tap, the
reservoir of power and knowledge that's already out there. You are an incredibly
social person. Take Cortland. His prime and your correspondence and mind powers
will find mages. Look for orphans. Tell them who we are, and tell them we're
looking for people to join our family. We're kinda like a good mafia; we give
people homes that don't have homes and look out for our own. Give them a way
to contact you without endangering yourself. Give them the manifesto to think
about. These people are alone, looking for something, someone. They have dreams,
hopes, and what better way to fulfill those dreams and hopes than riding with
the white horse of King Arthur?
That's mission one.
Mission two: tell the A-Team I'm putting a thirty-grand bounty on any confirmed
kill of a technomancer. You guys find any of them out there on the west coast
you get a paycheck. That goes for Nephandi too–but don’t touch the
Marauders. Just don’t.
Lastly. Once you've
formed the Malakim remember this: The Malakim were the blades of the host
of heaven: their warriors, their killers. Your blade is double-edged: violence
and paradigm. Work the paradigm as much as you can. The reason we're losing
to the Technocrats is because we’re unable to control people's thoughts
and beliefs like they do. Try and get this new cabal to make movies, music,
whatever. If they can't do it, sponsor people who believe in liberated thought:
freedom, rebellion, and the like. I can send money if you need it. We’re
willing to give financial aid to any Pendragons. Just bring anyone you find
to the compound and stay with the A-Team, it'll be safer. If you tap LA, move
up the coast. Find more. Make contacts. Make friends. Find power. I trust

right? Right. Of course I want something. We're trying to build upon the small
beginnings of the Pendragons. I know your primary responsibility is your child.
That's why I figured out a perfect role for you in quiet Wisconsin. We're
rebuilding the Pendragons on the model of the Hosts of Heavenly angels. Not
like I'm trying to endorse the Judeo-Christian mythology or anything, it's
just a cool model with practical applications and cool names, as well as a
full-standing allegory/symbolism and all that. I want you to form the Cherubim:
the protectors, the guardians.
We want you to set up
a safehouse for awakened; that means mages, Garou (and other changing breed),
Kindred, Fey, wraiths, whoever. I don't expect you to do this alone. I sent
an attachment with a new Pendragon manifesto. Spread it to orphans or whoever.
Don't put them under any pressure. Just tell them if they want someone to
accept them for who they are, that's us, and give them a way to get in touch
with you. Besides, who wouldn’t want to jump on King Arthur’s bandwagon?
Use your Celestial Chorus ties also. They will no doubt help in this endeavor.
Tell them we'd welcome any Tradition aid in a Pendragon-sponsored safehouse.
While setting up the
safehouse, make sure it's armed to the tooth with high-tech and magick defenses
(and offenses); if you need money just e-mail me. I'll wire it to you post
haste.
One last thing. If you
get help from the Traditions setting up the house, tell them that we want
my cousin Katrina. They've been holding her in various safehouses. I want
her back. She's my only blood-relation alive. (Her father married my now deceased
aunt.) I know I can count on you Dylan. You're a good man.

Well I guess we all have our roles in life. And maybe you're right about mine.
I am a protector, a guardian, by nature, so maybe I'm also a Cherubim of sorts
already. I've thought about this a lot. I do like to stay low-key and not
stick my head out. These people might bring trouble, but this still is a lot
more clandestine than taking out houses of assassins (nice job by the way;
I heard).
I'll try my best with
the recruitment drive, but I'm not sure how that will turn out. I'll definitely
extend the offer to the Choisters and ask about your cousin; I know how important

I'm starting the move
to make the Pendragons more than just a useless name behind a couple of vagabond
rebels. You said you were telling people who you were. Good. Now I want you
to go one step further. I want you to recruit orphans and who not for the
Pendragons. I've sent an attachment of the new Pendragon Manifesto. Don't
pressure anyone. Make sure they know that we still value their friendship
as non-members. Give them a way to contact you and then let them think about.
Maybe following King Arthur into battle (literally or not so) might just be
attractive to them.
The cabals of the Pendragons
are being named after the Heavenly Hosts of angels. It's not a religious statement,
each host simply serves a purpose that is analagous to the mages' purposes.
You must found the Ofanim. They are the wheels, the thrones. You are to bring
that change, you are that wheel. We simply need you to spread word. Get into
enterprises that will strengthen the rate of sleepers awakening. You don't
have to battle unless absolutely necessary. Encourage sex, drugs, music, freedom
of thought, creativity and imagination, as well as liberatory, rebellious,
and counter-authority movements. Do this through music, literature, social
drives, politics, I don't care. But get some recruits, and start to restructure
the paradigm. Get the help of the Ecstatics if you're smart. They are the
best of the best when it comes to this. Their accomplishments go largely unrecognized.
Anyway. All Pendragons have a duty, and this is yours. I don't think I ask
too much. Remember—with great power comes great responsibility. Good

Yes I do have a matter
of a delicate nature to discuss with you. I am organizing the Pendragons,
of which you have declined to join. You say you have your own reasons for
doing so, even though the Harbingers have, and the competition of Technocrats
and Kindred businessmen and bankers looms, but I was hoping for some help
anyway.
When I first met you,
I really didn't know you, I didn't trust you. Yet you have earned that trust
by standing by the Harbingers in their training, and in your handling of the
Duvalier Foundation. You have proved your intelligence, wit, and ambition.
I now ask you again to prove yourself by helping us up to the next level.
I am organizing Pendragons across the nation. We are organizing ourselves
analgously to hosts of angels; each cabal belongs to a purpose allegorical
to that host. I want you to look for those that might become the Grigori.
The Grigori were angels
who were sent to watch the earth, giants among men, who guided them. They
eventually fell for fornicating with humans, so be careful of women. No, seriously,
you are to be that watcher: an economic watcher. You must expand the Duvalier
Foundation. Make it even stronger. You have done great so far. Take the Harbingers
with you periodically, search for mages that might be turned, or that are
orphans in your businessline. Or look for those who might be ripe to be awakened
and fit in this economic paradigm. This cabal would ultimately be the financial
backing for the entire craft. You might then be called on to “donate”
to charities the rest of the craft may be supporting. It’ll be a tax
write-off, I promise.
As for the rest of this
cabal, you may not be a geographically consolidated cabal. Have the Harbingers
use prime on business trips and conventions. Search for mages. Have George
show them how to differentiate between Tradition and Technocratic avatars.
Also have George get you lists of orphans across the country that are known
to be in business or economic and political matters. Don't reveal yourself
in this gambit through George. Don’t let them know why or for whom he’s
asking. Your anonymity is your power. Always try to conceal your own avatar.
Gather these men under your fold. Give them the Pendragon attachment I have
sent you on our beliefs. Let them come on their own. Even if they don't want
to join, make alliances and friendships, contacts and acquaintances. If I
were you, I'd also befriend Kindred business-men. As long as they're not Sabbat,
they're not our enemy. Befriend the Glasswalkers, too. Work with these men.
The Sabbat, the Black Spirals/Fomori, and the Technocracy are our enemies.
I'm counting on you for
this, Fernando. You have the vision and the potential to be so much more than
a money man. You could be a leader. You can be a true power for the forces
of the just–even if you are not a mage. Make the right choice.

What you have said is
a lot to manage, Sebastian. I know you, and even the Harbingers, think of
me as a greedy opportunist. I would rather consider myself an ambitious opportunist.
I am looking out for number one. I am hungry for wealth and power. However,
not unlike a mafia don, I realize the value in protecting my family and friends.
I realize that being cold and vicious in the business world does not mean
that I cannot do the right thing at the same time, and help those that have
helped me, and those that I care for. Yes I do care for those other than myself.
You have given me the ability to be the man I am now. Both in money and in
support. For that I am in your debt.
I will try to do as you
ask. I will do it for you, and for me. It will give me even more of what I
want and desire, as well as give me the ability to help you and your friends.
It will not be easy to find these recruits, these 'watchers' but I shall try.
I am sure George and the others will aid me. I'll try and set up meetings

it, though. I've never known anything like it, and I thought I was an experienced
fighter. It's a lot more than fighting, though, it's a way of life, a philosophy.

I have been talking to
many of the Pendragons across the country. I've been organizing what I call
the Host. Cabals of the Pendragons are being named after hosts of angels,
and each cabal is serving purposes akin to that particular host. I am writing
to ask you to let go of the Harbingers. Let go of the past. Do not forget
the Harbingers, do not be ashamed of where you came from, but do not be afraid
to let the past go and be who you have become. The Harbingers were a set of
five streetfighters, managed by a con-man like manager, working for a crime
lord, M. Bison. You have since cut ties with M Bison, found Blade to be a
traitor (whom has become a Kindred), and Lotus is possibly dead—at the
very least indefinitely comatose. Fernando has come into his own, and is doing
his own thing, separate from all of you. Now you have taken Devon under your
watch, and are training in a new way of life with a new teacher, George.
I would ask you to become
the Elohim, the principalities: your hand must guide Detroit. You are the
reason, Siren is the emotion, and Kahn is the strength; Devon is the angelic
power, and George is the wisdom. You are a great team. You just have to learn
to work together. I have taught you many of my best lessons, Leander. I have
always groomed you to be a leader when you were on your own.
You are now on your own.
What I ask you to do in specific is to keep the peace of the city. This is
hard to say, but you must take control of the city. You must work with the
Grigori, with Fernando. He is the industrial and economic power that will
back you politically. Make sure to meet and befriend the Garou; Ragnar and
Caitlin know you. Take care of Caitlin in particular, she will miss Chip.
Befriend the chieftain Stands-Against-the-Wind. Make peace with Krayvis, the
prince of the Kindred. Meet other Kindred, perhaps this would be a good time
to befriend Blade again (if Krayvis thinks it is okay). You must hold everything
together. Detroit is meant to be a model city of peace and cooperation, through
which the rest of the World of Darkness can look up to.
You will learn and grow,
and defeat the adversities which come to you. Keep in touch with the other
Pendragons, I have sent an attachment with their e-mail addresses. Also, look
for orphans and others who might wish to join. Offer them the other attachment
I have sent: the new Pendragon Manifesto. Let them see what they think, and
give them time to think about it. Don't push them, give them a way to contact
you, and let them get back to you on their own terms.
(Hopefully, any doubts
they have will be allayed by following King Arthur.) We need all the help
we can get. Lastly, use George to foster relations with the Horizon. I will
be out of touch for awhile on this quest, but I swear when I return I will
have some killer additions to the Pendragon library. I don't dare e-mail them.
It's still too risky. There's too much info there. Be well. I know you are

I've thought a lot about
what you ask. I've talked to the others about it. The thought of you helping
Devon has lifted his spirits enough to agree. George, finding his focus finally
after his confrontation with Daniel, and the death of his old mentor, agrees
too. Kahn agreed almost instantly. You have to love his simplicity, Sebastian.
I love the big guy. Siren and I talked it over for awhile, before she agreed.
She asked me what I thought, and I told her I didn't know.
You didn't ask them
what you asked me, Sebastian. You didn't ask them to be responsible for a
city and all the lives therein. You didn't ask them to maintain the peace
of a city, only which Vancouver has ever achieved. You didn't ask them to
burden the shoulders of war, peace, and paradigm. That's why it took me awhile.
But you're right. It is time we—I—moved on. We have a responsibility
to shoulder. Some of us more than others. I am one. I am like you. I am like
Chip. I must walk into the face of danger. I must tame that danger. I must
take the arrogance I once had walking into the den of death in streetfighting
arenas, knowing—just knowing—that I would win, I must take that
arrogance and apply it to what you ask us to do. I must apply that to what
