Below is the character list of those that have appeared in our campaigns and fictions under the aegis of the group now known as the Pendragons. Although Sebastian Duvalier and Chip Zelinsky have been around the whole time, other members of their cabal have come and gone, as have their allies and assorted contacts. Duvalier founded a small craft called the Harbingers, which he later re-named the Faulknerians. Neither name suited his needs or was able to advance far beyond his own cabal. He re-formed the same group, co-creating this new body with long-time friend Chip Zelinsky. The group was named The Pendragons, after Chip's legendary avatar, that of King Arthur. Since that time, various other orphan mages, and even ex-Tradition and Technocracy mages have joined their flagship in the murky World of Darkness. Check out the links below to get a quick summary of who they are, and then keep clicking to view their stats.

This cajun from New Orleans is at once a rogue and an architect: an upstart mage, forcing his way through the mire of the Tradition echelons. He is firmly on their side of the war—he just believes that they are fighting it the wrong way. Sebastian has often been characterized as violent, impulsive, and stubborn; yet he has proven unpredictable, with a knack for coming out on top, no matter the odds. Also images of him as a teacher and an academic, building an electronic community for his adopted family persist, side by side with those of the eternal warrior, lethal to his last breath. Regardless of how he is or is not viewed, he has become a major force in the mage political arena in the last few years, especially with his friend, Chip Zelinsky, at his side. Most recently, he has adopted the guise of Marat, a man returning from self-exile in what was once French Indochina. He does this merely to keep his foes guessing. With his high level of arcane, most cannot tell that the two are one and the same.
An errant mage, the lone survivor of a Brujah attack on his cabal in Detroit, Chip searched for something, with only his magick sword to aid him: an ancient talisman that used to belong to one of his cabalmates. He found Sebastian Duvalier. The two hit it off instantly. Chip is one of the most powerful brute fighters currently active in the forefront of the Ascension War. He has recently learned that he is King Arthur reincarnate and that his sword is actually Excalibur. Chip seems to be making strides towards the leadership position of the Pendragons, yet at the same time, he does not want to step over his friend Sebastian to take the helm. How Sebastian's adoption of the Marat guise will affect this dynamic is unknown.
Considered Sebastian's protegé, Leander was once the leader of a group of streetfighters called the Harbingers. Now he is the leader of a cabal of mages under the same name. In the transition, he has lost none of his strength or heart. One of his team, Blade, became an Assamite in the employ of Detroit's Kindred prince, his manager a mundane member of the Pendragon economic wing; his other teammates, Siren, Kahn, and Lotus, were all also awakened by Sebastian and Chip. With his mentor, Sebastian, gone, Leander has been placed in charge of Detroit. He seems to have made a deal with the Kindred prince to insure stability for the time being.
Raziel is the Pendragon liason to the A-Team, a cabal of mercenary mages, located in Los Angeles. She was an orphan when her team met up with and adventured with Sebastian for a short while. She took to Sebastian immediately and the two continue to maintain a strong element of sexual tension between them. Raziel is a female James Bond, the ultimate seducer, getting what she wants from whomever she wants. She's a thrill-seeker and an action-junkie, that every now and then oversteps her bounds. Recently, she has teamed up with Cleopatra and has worked more and more independently from the A-Team. Though the more she has worked separately, the more she has gone by the name Raziel, she has not made a conscious effort to distinguish her two identities. Indeed, it is likely that any who had met her in person would have a hard time forgetting her face. Nonetheless, there is a confusion in those merely analyzing Pendragon activity from afar about whether they are separate persons or not.
A newcomer to the Pendragons, Bail joined Chip and Sebastian's cabal at the same time as the Ecstatic, Rasputin. The two have proven inseparable and the best of friends. They have also begun a joint process of digitizing the entire Pendragon Library; they have done the same with Professor Gerald Hammond's notes for finding the Grail, using hand scanners. In addition, the two young mages have been writing programs to let them sort through the data effectively. Bail has also been using a spirit digital camera on their quest for the grail, to photograph and download as much supplemental data as possible. Rasputin and he are currently conceiving of using mind and forces magick to transmit memories to electronic files.
Joining the supernatural world at the same time as her teammate and lover, Leander, she has adapted just as quickly under Sebastian's guidance. She is possibly stronger mentally and is more secure than him, always acting as his advisor. Yet her secrets weigh her down in ways that Leander is not and it takes a toll on her. While her ulterior motives do not necessarily conflict with her team's, if she leaked the amazing amount of knowledge that she has to Interpol, it could be the most horrible supernatural fiasco the modern world has ever known . . .
Perhaps the most surprising member of the Pendragons, Dylan is the lone dissenter of the group. He agrees with the group goals and methods, but not necessarily those of Sebastian's. Yet the group's acceptance of this dissonance may foster a greater interest from outsiders, to whom the ideal of an open and heterogenous body may appeal. Dylan himself is a protector and left the active cabal to safeguard his child and further his own studies in peace. He has since agreed to maintain and lead a Pendragon sponsored safe house. Rumor has it, the house is co-sponsored by the Celestial Chorus.
Not much is known about this shadowy figure. He is a Syndicate defector and is working with Fernando DeGaulle at Harbinger Associated, the business conglomeration that started as the Duvalier Foundation. Machiavelli has yet to truly flex his muscles there. What keeps him most safe, is that the Traditions know only that the Pendragons have harbored a defector. (The Order of Hermes themselves, turned down his request for help.) They are unsure which member of the Pendragons it is. The Technocracy does not even know that much—yet.
Cleopatra is a new Pendragon who was found by Raziel in Los Angeles. She is a muse who works to inspire others; her particular talent is to inspire revolutionary thought and work. She claims to be the inspiration behind works such as The Matrix. She has joined Raziel's Malakim and has begun working out of the City of Angels. As part of the recent truce with Jeremy MacNeil, the Anarch de facto ruler of Los Angeles, she seems to be a significant figure in the days to come.
Devon is a strange case. He was a super-powerful mage from an alternate reality, whose flaring powers caused a universal disruption. The paradox spirit of time, Wrinkle, left him in Sebastian's care after he, Chip, and Martin saved reality, restoring the damage that was in part Devon's fault. As a result of this incident, Devon suffers from permanent paradox flaws that make it seem like his hair is constructed out of fire, even though it emits no heat. He has learned to control his powers much better thanks to the tutelege of Sebastian. Lately, the once dispondant youth has started to react to the responsibility Sebastian has left only for him.
Not unlike Dylan, Rayne left shortly after the House of Helekar assaulted the cabal's mansion. Rayne was a young mage, not ready for the warfare she found herself smack in the middle of. However, since then, Sebastian has visited her in her new home of Tampa, and convinced Rayne to rejoin the efforts, in her own way. Now she acts as an information officer, letting other mages know what is really up with the Pendragons, sorting fact from fiction.
A new Pendragon, Jenny Slater is an ex-Etherite who was ostracized by her own Tradition for introducing a complex mathematical equation which proved that technomagick is inefficient. Shaken by that revelation, she has left her old Tradition and has recently joined the Pendragons. Currently residing in the Harbinger mansion in Detroit, this self-proclaimed 'reality deviant mathematician' now brings her unique skills to the Pendragons.
Another of the ex-streetfighters, Kahn is big and lovable, if not real bright. His heart is as big as his barrel chest, though, and he will give his fullest to protect his friends and family: the Harbingers and Pendragons. He has shown just as much of a magickal aptitude as any of his other teammates; his mentor, Sebastian, has started him down a similar magickal road as Chip, letting him use his magick to boost his already formidable physical abilities.
Lotus is currently in an unexplained coma, but normally she is a bouncy, active, energetic woman, with a definite sexual aura always about her. She had been dating Sebastian before her coma and was the first of the streetfighters to awaken. It is unclear what their relationship will be if she does revive, especially since Sebastian has since moved on.
One of the ex-streetfighters, Blade's life took a very different turn from his teammates. Blade was never much liked by his team, but they liked him even less when they found out that he was spying on them for M Bison. In an unexpected twist, Krayvis, the Prince of Detroit asked Sebastian to be able to take him as an Assamite and Sebastian agreed. Blade's memory has since been wiped and he had been re-created as a Kindred. He is a killing machine who has seen the Harbingers now and then. He even worked with the Verbena, Nathaniel Dane, on a mission for the Garou.
Carr is one of the rogue mages that makes up the A-Team. While technically still a member of the Virtual Adepts, he has a notorious reputation as a mercenary, which his Tradition shies away from. Carr shares the blame for a crime that neither he nor his teammates committed, and thus is a pariah. Now he works outside of Los Angeles with his teammates. He was a premier computer programmer and hacker before his awakening and is even more formidable now that he is a mage.
Never what people quite expect, Cortland O'Connell is a member of the Celestial Chorus. His huge frame belies a gentle heart and a strong spiritual center. Regardless of his faith, however, he is a fierce warrior that will never surrender no matter how dark the world around him has gotten. Cortland is one of the five members of the A-Team, a mercenary group of mages who have each been deemed outlaws by their respective traditions, for a crime they did not commit. Of all of them, this notoriety seems to hurt Cortland the most. Yet through it all, he has faith that all will turn out right.
Although a member of the Cult of Ecstasy, Damon is a very different kind of Ecstatic. After the death of the A-Team's former leader, also an Ecstatic, Damon was never the same, becoming more sullen and somber. He still believes in teaching the Sleepers to enlighten themselves, but not in the same reckless ways as many of his compatriots. He no longer worries about his renegade status as a member of the A-Team, but just wants to do what he can to help other people.
When his master was killed by the Nephandus vampire-slayer, Daniel, George fell in with Sebastian and Chip, who were doing their best to protect Detroit's Kindred from the dark mage. Since then, George has decided to stay at the Mansion with the Harbingers. During this time, he has introduced the practice of Do into the Pendragons, something his Tradition is none too pleased with. With Sebastian's departure, he has become the Harbingers new mentor.
Originally, Kaitlin served as an ambassador to the magi and Kindred of Detoit for the Garou chief, Stands-Against-The-Wind. However, things have greatly complicated since then. She is now engaged in a relationship with Chip Zelinsky and has recently given birth to their son. However, that son was abducted. While Chip searches for the whereabouts of the child, Kaitlin has waited eagerly in Detroit, happy to vent her frustration on breakers of the peace.
Along with Rayne, Dylan, Sebastian, and Chip, Martin Scorcese was the final compliment to the motley crew known as the first Cabal of the Phoenix. Briefly after the dissolution of this group, a second Cabal of the Phoenix consisted of Duvalier and the A-Team, but the original group was rose from the ashes to fight Graysh in Mexico City, joined also by the Etherite, Thomas. Ever the jester, Martin was an odd fit to Duvalier and Zelinsky's sober politicizing. Nonetheless, he played an important, if at times infuriating, role on the team. The Son of Ether has since left the team to investigate the disappearance of his family and has not been heard of since.
Although
not a mage yet, Matrix was one of the legendary Streetfighters until the fall
of M Bison. Her cybernetics still work, and her knowledge of martial arts
is untainted, but the source of her other powers is gone. She claims to know
others that Sebastian recognized as Virtual Adepts. It reamains to be seen
if she chooses to become a mage or not, and if so, whose tutelege she will
accept. For now, that choice notwithstanding, she has chosen to travel with
the Seraphim.
Not much is known about the Detroit Gangrel known only as Mohammed. At some point, his run-ins with the Brujah led to his becoming friends with Sebastian. However, Mohammed is a dangerous individual and Sebastian recognizes it. Mohammed is an odd Gangrel, one whose wild is loosed in the city and inbetwixt people; he is a cool manipulator, and a friend of the prince.
After working closely with Sebastian, Nathaniel Dane has since become the leader of the outlaw team of mage mercenaries known as the A-Team: all wanted for a crime that they didn't commit. Nathaniel has become an excellent leader since. He is a master of disguise and infiltration, a dangerous agent who can sneak up on even the most skilled Technocrats. As a favor for Leander, he recently worked with Blade, the Assamite, to recover a lost Garou artifact. He may also use this newfound status to his favor in Los Angeles, as Raziel has recently befriended Jeremy MacNeil.
As an advisor to Stands-Against-The-Wind, along with Kaitlin, Ragnar has served as a liason to the mages of Detroit. Ragnar is a vicious Get warrior when forced to be, but a jovial comrade when possible. He loves those he knows he can trust and is proud to include the Pendragons among those persons. He has taken even more of an interest in them with the birth of Kaitlin and Chip's child.
After the Fall of the House of Helekar, many mages were impressed with Chip and Sebastian. Bail Braddock and Rasputin were two of them. Although an Ecstatic, Rasputin left his old assignment to join Duvalier's cabal, the Seraphim. As a computer programmer, he has bonded with Bail, who has similar interests; the two have begun the project of cataloguing the Pendragon library into a digital format and continue to do so as their adventures continue. Chip and Sebastian have suddenly found themselves in oddly conservative roles, as Rasputin and Bail have ended up being more wild and dangerous than either thought at first—but that fits in just perfect with the Pendragons.
Although a part of Detroit's first and third Cabal of the Phoenix, Thomas never was a full-time member of the group. Most likely, the Son of Ether's logical mind could not deal with the ephmereal Chip and Sebastian. Nonetheless, he was crucial in the battle of Mexico City and the downfall of Graysh. Oddly , it was often Sebastian who gave Thomas' ideas the most support on that mission, despite his frequent frustrations with Martin and his ways. Thomas is still believed to be in Detroit, but is not active with Leander and the Elohim or Machiavelli and the Grigori.
