Welcome to the Pendragons' web page for White Wolf's role-playing game Mage: The Ascension. Mage is one of the most intelligent games I have ever played. Perhaps the name 'game' is a slight misnomer. Mage is a story: one in which each participant can control the flow of the epic. Instead of watching television or reading a book, and letting others finish the story, Mage: The Ascension allows you and your friends to have your own input on how the story ends.
In addition, the Mage role-playing game uses symbolism and allegory, masquerading the world's own sordid moral issues with superimposed supernatural themes. In doing so, Mage bases much of its lore on our own world's diverse history of legends and myths. It is this complexity and depth that makes Mage: the Ascension the best role-playing available.
What started as a simple joyride of one mage on the run has turned into a fantastic voyage into the unknown for many more. Where nothing once was, something was born, life springing from the most unlikely of chaoses and entropies. Our stories of a World of Darkness are tales of unlikely heroes, characters settled deep in a dark grey moral area, where the terms "good" and "bad" begin to blur and lose meaning.
Here, you'll find a treatise on what makes Mage what it is; you'll find character stats for the Pendragons, their stories, their fictions, and how and when it all ties together. It has been an amazing ride so far, and it has not stopped yet. It has a life of its own now, out of control of all those who created it in the first place. To all that helped contribute: thank you.
