Spid Dövan

Spid Dövan was one of the highest-paid cooks on Bespin, working for the Bith, Mr. Boruu. However, when Boruu was agitated by his conflict with Fabius Kane and Papa Beedo, he insulted the cook, who fired back at him. Then, needing to save face at his own Sabbacc table, Boruu fired the Ortollan.

As the chef went to settle up with the casino-owner, Kane and Beedo appeared, guns raised, trapping the Bith in the elevator to his penthouse. Spid went along for the ride and ended up getting caught in a battle with IL1D20 Mark 2 and his small droid army. Though they never really defeated the mechanical intelligence—or not fully, anyway—they did kill Mr. Boruu, who was actually the galaxy-wide renowned serial murderer, "The Eviscerator."

Since then, Dövan has joined Beedo, Kane, and their friend Donovan, in joining the Syndicate. There, he functioned briefly as the cook on the ship, Blue Streak, along with the pilots, Kane and Donovan, and Beedo, who had assumed the identity of Cobalt Blue, a blue-skinned pop singer. All of this was a cover for clandestine operations they ran for the Syndicate. With Cobalt's unexpected death, Spid and Donovan have split with Kane and returned to the Spire, to await their next assignment.

The Ortolan has since joined with Donovan and the Duros, Ace Proton, on several missions. Most recently, he was seen with the Hapan, Jens, Kane, and others on Nar Shadda, fighting against dark forces.
