Kaya Tarkin

Not much is known about Kaya Tarkin other than her famous bloodline. She is the grandaughter of Grand Moff Tarkin, who was placed in charge of the original Death Star. Despite her lineage, Kaya is a member of the criminal element, the Syndicate, not a part of the Empire. Although, this issue was complicated recently, when it was revealed that the head of the Syndicate, Destine, is actually a clone of Grand Moff Tarkin. As with many things, Kaya's feelings about this are a mystery.

She was sighted recently on Bespin with her fellow Syndicate lieutenant, Veroshk, where she helped gather intelligence regarding Mr. Boruu for Fabius Kane and Papa Beedo: later ferrying them away, along with their comrades Donovan and Spid Dövan. Though she agreed with Veroshk in recruiting them for the Syndicate, she found out first hand how dangerous Kane and his associates were, when both bounty hunters and Imperials attacked them at Kessel while they were merely eating dinner.

Destine does not seem to be planning to team her with Kane or his people. What future role she may play in intra-galactic affairs, if any, remains to be seen. She is currently trying to save the burdgeoning alliance between the Hapes Cluster and the Syndicate after learning the truth behind Queen Organa's pregnancy.
