Veroshk

Not much is known about the Falleen Dark Jedi, Veroshk. He first surfaced with Kaya Tarkin and Destine as a key figure in the underworld organization, the Syndicate. Though never expressly and unabatingly evil, Veroshk's taint was obvious to all around him.

Veroshk surfaced at the home of the Sullustan crimelord, Nien Kuum, to offer Fabius Kane and Donovan the chance to join a new rebellion and learn the ways of the Force from him. Both of the smugglers refused.

Veroshk showed up again on Corellia, confronting the same two smugglers after their sordid affair with the Narolir. He again offered them a chance to join them, and again they refused. Interestingly, while on Corellia, he also attempted to save their ship, but was unable to defuse all the bombs placed on it.

The Fallen then disappeared until he came out of nowhere on Bespin to rescue Kane and Papa Beedo from Imperials. At this point, furious with the Imperials and frustrated by the plight of his friends, Kane finally agreed to join Veroshk, as long as the Dark Jedi helped them rescue Donovan and Naria. Veroshk agreed, rescuing those two, while Beedo and Kane tracked down and killed the serial killer, The Eviscerator, and destroyed his droid army.

Afterwards, Veroshk ushered Kane, Beedo, Donovan, Naria, and the Ortolan Spid Dövan, onto the Syndicate transport to return with Kaya Tarkin and their other operatives to the Spire. Though Veroshk had already taken another student (who later was revealed to be Leia Organa), he agreed to teach Kane the rudiments of using a lightsaber, as well as a bit more.

Later, he was invited to train himself, under the Jedi Master Zyan-Krol, but never had the chance, sacrificing himself for Kane and other Syndicate Agents, while battling the High Inquisitor Tremayne.
