Destine

Once one of the most feared men in the galaxy, Destine was known years ago (though most of the galaxy does not know it) as Grand Moff Tarkin. Though that man died at Luke Skywalker's hands during the Battle of Yavin, he lived in another way. Tarkin had illegally preserved his memory contents for the purpose of placing them in a clone in the event of his death. Because this this was illegal, Tarkin could not return to the Empire. Years later, this goal proved equally impossible when his once-killer assumed the new role of Emperor.

Though not sure what to do at first, Tarkin gradually decided to enter the world of crime. He felt that neither the Rebellion nor the Empire would accept him. He donned a gold mask and took to calling himself Destine. He was quickly able to recruit his capable grandaughter, Kaya, and the Falleen Jedi, Veroshk.

Though it is not clear why, he had recently placed Veroshk's newest recruits on a special mission. Fabius Kane, Donovan, Papa Beedo, and Spid Dövan, were chosen for a mission using Beedo's entertainment skills as a cover. Yet faced with both Veroshk's and Beedo's unexpected deaths, as well as Kane's sudden departure, it is unclear what he will do with the other two agents. Equally unclear are Destine's true motives.
