Max Rebo Band

With some of the more famous musical performers in the Empire, the Max Rebo Band was the house band for Jabba the Hutt for a long time, making more money than they had ever seen before. Unfortunately, that all came to a violent end when Luke Skywalker and his compatriots killed Jabba, leaving the gangster's affairs in disrepair.

One of the true victims of Jabba's demise was the band. Max and the others found themselves scrambling just to survive in the civil war that ensued. The only safe refuge they could find was in the food reserves, where others were afraid to bomb them, for fear of destroying what precious food there was on Tatooine. However, they still had friends. Someone paid the crimelord Nien Kuum to rescue them. Kuum sent Fabius Kane. Aided by the Gamorrean, Gartogg, the two saved them, torching the forces still fighting with thermal grenades on their way out.

Most of the band has taken it easy since then, but Me Lyn, a friend of Boba Fett's, decided to chase his killers—Han Solo and his friends—which led her into conflict with Jodo Kast and his crew (who were imitating that group to lure Fett out of obscurity). Papa Beedo saved her and sent her back to Fett, a kindness which Fett later repaid.

Some of the band also ran into Kane again on Corellia, at Cobalt Blue's party. In fact the redhead and Rodian females ended up all spending the night with the scoundrel.
