Nien Kuum

Even before Jabba the Hutt fell, Nien Kuum was a powerful crimelord, unusual for a Sullustan. Working spinward of Hutt space, Kuum made a good living for himself out on the Outer Rim.

Seemingly inoculously, he hired two smugglers, Fabius Kane and Donovan. This seemed a good move, as Kane himself resuced the Max Rebo Band from the embattled Jabba's Palace on Tatooine. Later, he paired the two with two other new recruits, a Y-Wing pilot, Alexander, and the Noghri assassin, Arahk. What seemed like a good idea turned into a disaster when Kane murdered Borska the Hutt's arena manager and bodyguard on Lannik, on what was supposed to be a routine, clandestine weapons run. Already in enough trouble with Sullust's imminent destruction, receiving visits from the Syndicate's Veroshk, and other general underworld politics, Kuum decided to let Kane and the others go.
